Most women don’t care about working their chest! All we really want are nice arms, toned abs, and nice legs…am I right? What woman wants to have manly pecs??
However, working your chest can give you better posture, and a more balanced upper-body strength. If you do decide to neglect chest training while training your other upper body muscles, think about how imbalanced your upper body will be. Having a weak chest can affect how you do your other exercises, and you may be more prone to injury. Working the chest is also helpful in everyday movements – anything that involves pushing, i.e., pushing a door or a lawnmower. Secondary benefits include toning of your shoulders and tricep muscles as well!
Added bonus for women: Chest exercises can lift sagging breasts 🙂
